The Paris terrorist attacks have caused a rift in the libertarian community. To the surprise of many, some libertarians advocate for a closed border policy. I was in shock too when I first heard of this position considering libertarianism is about natural rights, and what more basic right is there than movement? This debate is extremely complicated, and it is unfortunate many see it as a straightforward discussion.
As a Millennial I hear my peers often speak about how our parents and their parents can go to sleep at night dreaming of big houses that are paid off with only 1 breadwinner in their home. Oh, how they also speak of our plight, barely scraping by to make ends meet; surely it must be that our ancestors have left us in ruin.
Old people blame us for everything they actually do. The economy? Not being able to find jobs? Old people… Old people are literally the worst.”
The last blog post showed “voluntary” slavery’s invalidity in a private law society. Once one recognizes this as true, a related question might arise:
